These Rental Terms describe how Moorlane Campervans provides campervan hire. Please read them carefully before confirming a booking. By proceeding with payment or signing the hire agreement, you accept these terms as the basis of the contract.
Drivers must be aged between 25 and 70 and hold a full valid UK or EU driving licence for at least two years. Licences are checked at the time of booking, and a DVLA code or photo ID may be requested. Additional drivers can be added only with prior notice.
Hire begins at the agreed collection time and ends when the vehicle and keys are returned to our Preston base unless otherwise arranged. Late returns may result in additional daily charges. Please allow time for a short condition check when returning the van.
A deposit is taken to secure the booking. The balance is due before collection. A security deposit is held during the hire period and refunded once the vehicle is inspected and refuelled. Refund timing may vary depending on bank processing.
Comprehensive self-drive hire insurance is included for named drivers. The policy covers third-party liability, theft, and damage subject to an excess fee. Personal belongings and leisure equipment are not covered; renters are encouraged to arrange their own travel insurance if required.
All vans are handed over clean, with fuel, water, and basic equipment. Hirers must keep interiors in reasonable condition, avoid smoking inside, and report any faults promptly. Pets are welcome only in designated vehicles. Vehicles may not be used for racing, towing, or carrying unauthorised passengers.
Each van is supplied with a roadside assistance contact. In case of accident or breakdown, call the assistance line first and then notify Moorlane Campervans. Do not attempt repairs without approval. Any insurance claims require a full written report from the driver.
Mileage limits are stated in the hire agreement. Additional miles may incur a per-mile fee. The vehicle should be returned with the same level of fuel as at collection. A small service charge may apply if refuelling is needed.
Cancellations made more than 14 days before pickup receive a partial refund minus the booking deposit. Within 14 days, refunds depend on whether the van can be rebooked. In unforeseen circumstances such as mechanical failure, we will offer an alternative vehicle or a refund of hire fees.
Moorlane Campervans is not responsible for personal loss, injury, or delay arising from events beyond reasonable control, such as weather, road closures, or third-party service failures. We operate with care and maintenance but cannot influence external conditions.
Information you provide during booking is processed under our Privacy & Data notice. We collect only details needed for insurance, payment, and communication.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be handled in local courts relevant to our business address in Preston, Lancashire.
